Basic requirements
You must already have or expect to achieve a Masters qualification before the programme commences in September 2010 plus a first degree with a minimum of a 2:1 in one of the following:
1. Any engineering related degree (preferably Mechanical, Electrical and Manufacturing related)
2. Any Procurement, Logistics, Business, Finance or Project Management related degree
We will require evidence of your core competencies:
• Achievement orientation
• Teamwork and cooperation
• Business acumen (analytical thinking)
• Customer service orientation
• Planning and organisation
• Communication skills (influence and impact)
Application process
1. Application Form
Your application form will be assessed by a real person, not a computer!
2. Psychometric Testing
If successful after the telephone interview you will be asked to complete some online psychometric tests including verbal and numeric tests.
3. Telephone Interview
If you pass this first stage you will receive a telephone call to take you through a structured telephone interview.
4. Assessment Day
If you pass these you will then be invited to an assessment day at Bombardier Transportation in Derby, where you will meet senior managers from the organisation. Assessment Days will be held in March 2010.
5. Final Interview
Successful candidates will then meet Bombardier Managers for a final interview. You will also have an informal 1 to 1 conversation with a current graduate working in the company – to find out what it is really like.
N.B. At final interview stage all candidates will undergo a pre-employment medical, including a Drugs and Alcohol test.
6. Offer
Offers will then be made for you to start in September 2010 (or June 2010 if you'd prefer).
